Where's the Party?

By now most you know that there's a Map feature on SendAnInvite. This allows you to add a Map pointing the way to your event. Your recipients can view the map and (in most cases) get driving directions to your event!

But why are there two separate text boxes for a map?

The first text box is the default map service, Google Maps. This area ALWAYS goes to Google Maps and is only for locations in North America. Just enter the physical address of the location and you're all set!

If the location is outside of North America, or you just prefer a different map service, the second text box is the spot for you. Visit the website of the map service for your country, or that you simply prefer, and enter the location for the event. Once the map is loaded, simply copy the ENTIRE URL in your browser's address bar and paste it in SendAnInvite's second map text box. Preview the map to make sure it's copied over correctly, then click the SAVE button. You're all set!

A few things to remember...if there are no entries in either box, no map button will be displayed. Also, an entry in the second text area will over-ride any entry in the first text area. Always, always, always test the map feature before sending your invitations!

If your event is located at a venue that has a website that offers driving directions, you can use that too! Just go to the directions page on the venue's website and copy the URL from your browsers address bar, then paste the URL into the second text box in the SendAnInvite Map area. Remember, the first text box ALWAYS goes to Google Maps and a URL will not work properly from there.

Thank You Notes... More than a courtesy!

The party's over, the clean-up is done, but you have one last task to complete. Let your guests know you enjoyed their company and appreciated them taking time out of their schedules to attend your event!

SendAnInvite has a Thank You note feature that allows you to quickly send a note of appreciation to everyone who attended your event.

To send the Thank You notes, simply click on the invitation name to highlight it on your Account Page, then click on the THANK button. Fill in a subject line and choose your recipients. When you click on the "To..." button, SendAnInvite will show you the recipients for that event that responded with a YES or MAYBE on their RSVP forms. We've pre-populated the message section with a generic message that you can use, or you can edit the message to say what you want.

Preview the Thank You message by clicking on the PREVIEW link located above the Subject line. When you're ready, click on the SEND button.
