Ask Away!

This week we're excited to announce another great new feature on SendAnInvite.com!

User Defined RSVP fields are here!

What is it? This feature lets you ask specific questions of your guests when they RSVP to your event. But unlike Guest Preferences which lets your guests mark choices that you have predefined, these new fields will let them type out their responses.

How can I use this? There are many ways you can use this feature! For example, if you're holding a business event where some guests would need transportation from a hotel to your event location, you can use the new User Defined RSVP Fields to ask what hotel they will be staying at.

An example for a personal event such as a dinner party or backyard BBQ, you can ask your guests to list any food allergies or special needs they may have.

Want to award prizes at your event? Use this feature to ask trivia questions about the event host, your company, or a Guest of Honor. Your guests can type in their answer upon RSVPing to your event. During your event, you can hand out awards to those who have answered correctly, or even those with the most outrageous responses!

How do I set this up for my invitation? It's easy! Here's how....

* Click to highlight the invitation name in the Your Invitations box
* Click the RSVP Fields link located in the right-hand menu bar under the RSVP's heading
* At the bottom of this window, type in the question you want to ask your guests in the Field Heading area
* For Field Type, choose either a text box for guests' typed responses or a Yes/No radio button response
* (optional) Use Field Order to display your questions in a particular order.
* Click the Add RSVP Field button.
Repeat as many times as you need.
Once you've entered your fields, you'll need to check the questions you want to have displayed on the RSVP forms. The drop downs beside the fields entries you've created allow you to edit or delete specific entries.
When you're finished, click the Save Changes button.
Be sure to send yourself an invitation and RSVP to test before sending to your guest list. You can send invitations to your account email address as many times as you need for free.
To view the responses, highlight the invitation name and click on RSVP's on the right menu bar. This will show you the basic information. From here, click the REPORT button at the bottom of your RSVP's report.
