Address Book Groups
This week I thought I'd chat a bit about creating Groups in your SendAnInvite Address Book. This is a handy tool if you send different invitations to different groups of people.
The Group titled "All Contacts" is your Master List of recipients. All entries will automatically be listed here.
Let's say you want to have add a "Family" and a "Friends" Group. To do this, click on the New Group button from within the Address Book. Give your new group a name, such as "Family" (no quotes) and click on the ADD button.
To populate the new group, choose the name of the group from the Group drop down list. When the page loads, click on the ADD MEMBERS button. This will bring up all the entries in your Address Book. Just choose the entries you want listed in your new group by clicking on their email address and then click on the ADD button to move them over to the right-hand side. When you're finished, click the OK button and your new group will be populated.
If you're having an event where you want the people in your "Friends" group to attend one day, and "Family" to attend the next day, just create two invitations and send one to "Friends" and the other to "Family". You won't have to choose individual address book entries by using the Groups, saving you what could be TONS of time!
This works perfectly for business or organizational events as well!
