Mini-Sites, SendAnInvite Style!
Did you know you can create a form of Mini-Site with SendAnInvite? You can! The best part is that it's really not that difficult!
Let's say you're in charge of an event that will have multiple speakers. You'll need to collect RSVPs for each speakers' forum. You don't need to send separate invitations, just make a Mini-Site!
Step 1: Create your introductory page. This would be an invitation that explains the event and mentions the speakers of the event. There's no need to add an RSVP button or link to this page.
Step 2: Create separate invitations for each speaker. The name of the invitation should be the name of the speaker. You may want to add their picture, a quick background, what topic they'll be speaking on, etc. Add an RSVP button to each of these pages.
Step 3: Once finished with the speakers' pages, go back to your introductory page and click on the EDIT button. Put your cursor anywhere towards the bottom of the page where you'd like to add each link to each speakers' page that you just created. Click on the button at the top of the editor that looks like a couple of links of a chain. This is the Insert Link button. You'll see two tabs, the first one is to add a link to an internet page, the second is to add a link to an existing invitation. Click the second tab and choose one of your speakers' pages from the drop-down list. Add a Friendly Name, such as the speaker's name, to be displayed on the introductory page. Click the Insert Link button and your link will appear on the invitation. Repeat this process as many times as you'd like. Each speaker's page will have their own RSVP list to help keep things straight.
You can use this method outside of the business environment... not just for seminars with speakers. Here's a generic example: This page would be the introductory page. I can add links to other invitations (or in this case Tips & Tricks newsletters) so my recipients can view them all from here.
We've also seen this feature used to create a travel log where each page tells of a place that was visited and contained stories of the sender's travel experiences.
This is a great feature with a lot of potential! As always, if you need help with this feature or anything else, let us know!
Don't Over-Do!
Just a quick note to remind everyone to try not to over-do those invitations! I know how it is... you're working away and making changes here and there, tweaking this or that. Before you know it, you've ended up with a creation that's a bit TOO busy, TOO colorful, TOO cluttered, or just not right. It's over-done.
We suggest that you only work on your invitation creations for a certain amount of time. Then stop. Walk away. Do something else for an hour or two, or even the rest of the day. Then when you return to your design, you're returning "fresh". It's amazing how that little routine can save you hours of editing and repositioning.
Sometimes, keeping your invitation simple is much better than including all the "bells and whistles". It's easier for the recipient, for one thing... and much easier for you during the design phase.
