Inserting HTML Code
There are times where you may want to insert something into your invitation. Something that requires you to include some HTML code. Maybe it's an advertisement or a cartoon strip. No matter what it is, it's easy!
In the Edit window, you'll see a button that has two lines above and below a capital H. This is the button to insert a snippet of HTML code.
Make sure to click on the area you want to include the item. Click on the HTML button and paste the HTML code into the box that opens. Click on the "OK" button and your invitation will be updated with the HTML code included.
For example, you have a lot of out of town guests coming to your event and you want to include a button with your affiliate link for Travelocity on your invitation. The code may look something like:

Paste this code in with HTML button and you'll get a working button like this:
This works for HTML code ONLY.... no Java script.... and it can be anything, not just an ad button.
As always... test this out by sending the invitation to yourself before you send to your guest list and if you need assistance, just let us know!
Announcement vs. Invitation
So what exactly is the difference between an announcement and an invitation?
An announcement is just what it says. It announces something. There is no action needed by the recipient. It's the same as calling someone on the phone and leaving a message that the movie starts at 9pm.
An invitation asks for something. When you invite someone to an event, you're asking them to attend. Recipient action, such as sending an RSVP or just attending, is requested.
If you want to send an announcement, simply leave off the RSVP links/buttons. Then you can send "Susie Got The Lead In The School Play" to Grandma...just to let her know! Later on, you can send an invitation for the school play asking Grandma to attend.
