"What To Bring" Feature
Whether it's a "Pot Luck" dinner or a family gathering, if you would like your guests to bring something to contribute to the festivities, SendAnInvite's "What To Bring" feature fits the bill!
It doesn't matter how large or small the event is, you can add a list of requested items to your RSVP form for your guests to choose from. You can add food items, paper goods (like paper plates, cups, etc), decorations, lawn chairs, .... ANYTHING!
To set up a "What To Bring" list, highlight the invitation on your account page and click the SETTINGS button. When the new window opens, click on the What to Bring menu item on the left, then click on the "create" button.
List each item separately and include the TOTAL number of this item you'll need. Do this until you have all your requested items entered.
For example, entries for a Pot Luck dinner may include:
Vegetable Dish Quantity: 4
Green Salad Quantity: 2
Cookie Plate Quantity: 3
Dessert Dish Quantity: 3
When your guests RSVP, they see the list and can choose what they are willing to bring. For each entry, the quantity numbers are decreased automatically. Once the quantity is reached, the item will no longer appear on the RSVP form.
To view the guests' choices, open your RSVP section (Highlight the invitation and click on the RSVP button on the account page) and you'll see a button labeled "Who's Bringing What". When you click on this button, you'll see all the individual listings of the guests and what they've committed to bring to your event.
Click on the View Report button and you'll get a printable report that breaks it all down for you in detail, including a list of items that have not been chosen by your guests that you'll have to supply if desired.
If you're having an informal get-together with friends, you may want to ask them to bring movies, games, music, snacks or beverages.
"What To Bring" is a feature that you may want to try for yourself! Of course, if you should have any questions, be sure to let us know!
